atmosflare 3d drawing pen australia

I've recently been reviewing and exploring shapes with my daughter. At 7 years old, she knows the names and attributes of bones shapes, so we've been working on understanding them more deeply, and especially seeing how we can interruption apart and put together shapes to form new ones. As function of this exploration, we've looked at several different 3D shapes and talked well-nigh the shapes of the faces. There are lots of fun ways to teach and explore 3D shapes, simply final week we created them ourselves with the Atmosflare 3D Drawing pen!Learning nigh 3D shapes with Atmosflare 3D pen has been our favorite way to learn shapes, past far !

Before receiving and trying out this pen, I was completely ignorant to the fact that such a affair even exists. Then to accept one and play with it and learn together with my kids has been and so much fun!

Learning About 3D Shapes with Atmosflare 3D Pen:

To get started, I made some 3D shapes with the pen. The kids were and so excited to watch as I formed the shapes, constantly asking questions and wondering what I was going to exercise side by side.

Afterward completing each shape, I would enquire questions nigh it such as, "What would y'all telephone call this shape?" "What shapes do you see on it?" and "How many sides does it accept?"

Once they were dry and firm, I would let the kids hold and examine them, and brand observations of their own.

I then created other shapes so that we could compare them.

Two main shapes that I wanted them to compare were a triangular prism and a square based pyramid, as these are ofttimes dislocated.

This allowed for good discussions about the shapes of the faces because the triangular prism has 2 bases that are triangles, and faces that are rectangular, and information technology does not come up to a point.

A pyramid, on the other hand, as one foursquare base of operations and all the faces are triangles, and comes to a point.

After drawing and playing with our iii dimensional shapes, I let my kids try out the pen to see what they could create!

Tips for Using the Atmosflare 3D Pen:

*Delight note: This product says it is intended for ages fourteen+. I allowed my 6 and 7 year old to use it with close supervision, simply you should use it at your own risk.*

Using the pen takes a bit of practice. It's non that the pen is difficult, merely obviously, I'k not used to drawing in mid air, so I had to try unlike things and techniques to achieve what I wanted. (And every bit you can see from my pictures, the shapes are not perfect, merely it worked! 😉 )

When offset starting, you lot demand the ink to attach to something, and then we started on a poster board and drew up from at that place. Then you tin offset at different parts of your artwork and build up and out!

Too note that yous have to go on the pen moving slow and steady as you draw. If you stop, the ink gets stuck in the tip, but if you lot go likewise fast, your cosmos will not hold together.

And lastly, the ink is a trivial viscid, then I suggest drawing a footling, and then letting it set and and so continuing on.

If you've drawn something that is held together well (i.e. the ink is not too sparse), it should be fairly long lasting! We still have our 3D shapes to look at, play with and discuss!
